Arthur Farrington Fornia
(This is the biography that he prepared)

Born Dec 17, 1926, Seattle WA
Attended Green Lake grade school, Marshal Jr. High, Roosevelt HS.

Taught himself to drive in 1942 in his dad's 1937 Ford.
Delevered newspapers, clerked groceries and ran the movie projector in High School.

Participated in Boy Scouts; Sailed away on the Ballard Ferry (near Ray's Boat House) to scout camp near Port Ludlow where his big brother Fred was the cook, summer 1938.

Arranged for Marty Kidder to teach little brother Bob to dance in 1947.

Employed at the Seattle Port of Embarkation; Boeing Co, B29 Sheet Metal work; Loehman Hanford after the war.

Sang in Clarion Men's Choir. Assisted Ken Nielsen leading Sea Scouts on many cruises to San Juan Islands & Straight of Georgia, BC.

Served on active duty with the Air Force Reserve during the Korean War.

Christmas 1955                           

Ate Betty's Pies at Cafe where we met at 72nd & Greenwood. Married Betty in 1954.

Employed at Craig Electronics, supplied recording from Craig to nieces and nephews. Introduced nephew Conrad to St Andrews youth group in 1962.

Moved with Betty to Bellevue, spring 1964.

Worked with St Andrews youth groups and Sunday School, assisted at communions, was Lay Reader, assisted 'God & Country' program for scouts, took communion to people at home.

Helped Betty deliver wedding cakes she had made.

Backed up father of the bride for Judy's wedding to nephew Conrad in case her father was delayed by weather in Georgia in 1967.

Drove niece Julie and nephew Flick with Betty to Betty's sister's farm in Montana in 1971.

Employed at Scientific Supply Co., retired in 1988.

Assisted minister at Grand nephew Mark's wedding to Teresa in 1992. Studied family geneology back to Clan McCloud, County Lewis, Isle-Butte, Scotland, 1780's. Told many episodes of family history.
